We are focused on rapid growth in 2021 and looking for someone to lead a highly effective and strategic marketing function

Ideally you will have taken a fast growth startup from Series A through hypergrowth 1-2 times before and can take full ownership of the marketing team who likes moving quickly and has a strong appetite for growth. 

With the support of your colleagues, you will plan, implement and iterate campaigns to drive customer acquisition and retention, focusing on supercharging growth and telling our story to the masses. You will manage and oversee a variety of growth channels and strategies (SEO, email, paid search and advertising, conversion rate optimisation, partnerships and PR). 

You will have a flair for using storytelling to fuel your growth strategies, translating complex science into user-friendly tactics.

Your team

Reporting to the Head of Revenue, you’ll be responsible for building a team, currently consisting of a demand generation manager, an ecosystem manager, content manager, web developer and designer. 

 In this role, you will

  • Own Automata’s Growth strategy and initiatives
  • Develop and execute innovative, multi-channel campaigns to drive MQLs and sales pipeline, optimising every part of the sales funnel
  • Plan, execute and be accountable for the performance of end-to-end data-driven demand generation programs 
  • Partner with the sales team to ensure quality lead delivery and follow-up
  • Identify and scale paid and unpaid digital acquisition channels, including PPC, social (paid & unpaid), partnerships, SEO, content, email and more 
  • Build a consistent feedback loop and continuously improve and optimise lead hand-off processes in conjunction with the Commercial team. 
  • Uncover creative, non-traditional and new methods of acquiring customers
  • Collaborate with members of the wider organisation (including sales, customer success, product, operations)
  • Test and implement offline marketing campaigns
  • Lead and continue to build the Growth team

What we’re looking for in you 

  • Commercially driven, revenue-focused growth marketer that has designed and executed winning marketing strategy in a series A startup 
  • Master strategist for multiple growth channels
  • The mindset to deeply understand and meet user needs
  • An inspirational leader with a vision for growth
  • Advanced analytical skills, ability to create meaningful conclusion and decisions from data
  • Tactical, hands-on experience with lead forecasting, reporting, and analysis
  • Proven track record of increasing user acquisition, engagement and retention and meeting/exceeding revenue and profitability goals
  • Broad knowledge of digital marketing strategies
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter with the ability to execute under pressure to deadlines
