Automata is building a world-class company in order to disrupt the life science industry with our new core product that automates lab work - including the COVID-19 response. Our mission is to empower labs of all sizes with accessible lab automation that’s fast, flexible and cost-efficient.

This CRM and Data Manager will sit on our fast-paced growth team, made up of a dedicated, friendly and fun group who work closely together on our journey to transform Automata’s technology roadmap. The CRM and Data Manager will be critical to helping the company mature into a data-led organisation that relies on automation and martech to fuel the significant revenue growth we expect to see in the next few years. Automata is scaling fast and this is a new role so there is lots of scope to build out a new function.

Why is this role important for Automata?

Managing the technology stack is probably the most important function of the growth team. From marketing automation, data governance and analytics, this person will lead the interrogation of the data and make critical recommendations that will influence actions for the rest of the entire team. 

In this role, you will be:

Lead CRM

  • Own funnel design and stages.
  • Tests and analyzes workflow for lead generation, lead nurturing and lead scoring.
  • identifies tactics for improvement.

Managing Martech

  • Evaluate, implement, and manage the many marketing technology systems and integrations with related technologies required by the growth team.
  • Design the roadmap and strategy for martech products and solutions.
  • Manage technology vendors.

Data Optimization and Governance 

  • Ensure marketing data is being properly collected and connected with other systems 
  • Manage data cleansing and research new ways to enrich the data.
  • Ensure business meets best practices for marketing and data privacy.

Analytics and Reporting 

  • Manage analytics, reporting, and team dashboards to measure the effectiveness of the marketing channels.
  • Provide insights to stakeholders in the business.

Process Optimization 

  • Review and update existing processes.
  • Design and create new operating processes.
  • Ensure campaigns meet standard processes and quality standards.

What it takes 

  • Marketing Automation expert (Hubspot desirable)
  • Passion for lead funnels, lead scoring and lead nurture
  • Technical and analytical mindset 
  • Analytics/systems background (GA + Gtagmanager desirable)
  • Accurate, systematic, and methodical.
  • Able to organize and prioritize tasks and projects.
  • Makes an excellent team player and has strong interpersonal skills.
