Today Automata is developing software, hardware and robotics platforms to disrupt the Life Science Sector and enable scientists. Ultimately bringing new drugs to market years earlier, and completing diagnostic testing at speeds never before imagined.
We're looking to hire an experienced in-house recruiter with a wealth of experience hiring commercially focused candidates from a Marketing and Sales background.
Why is this role important for Automata?
Automata have scaled from 30 - 80 team members over the past 12month and we’re showing no signs of slowing down this growth. After our best ever year commercially and for the team, we’re growing our Talent & People team to support and maintain our growth through 2022 and beyond. This role will be essential to the success of this ambition and provide the person in the role with huge opportunities for personal growth and development.

In this role, you will be:
Working closely with key stakeholders at Automata to create a strong talent acquisition strategy to ensure we hit our growth targets
Creating, executing and tracking the success of candidate attraction campaigns
Own and iterate our hiring processes prioritising quality at every stage
Recommend new channels or techniques to source new talent
You will track your team's data and continually highlight opportunities for improvement
Monitor team KPI activity and deliver against personal OKRs
Feedback market information and insights to relevant Hiring Managers/team members and actively use this to improve and shape hiring in Automata
Contribute to hiring meetings and lead new role kick-off meetings
Build data and feedback into your strategy and create regular reports for the Head of People
Build a DE&I culture, making sure it is part of the recruitment process
Manage and develop a small team (2-3) of junior-mid level researchers/sourcers
What it takes
At least 6 years of relevant recruitment experience, with a demonstrable ability to hire at pace and with high standards of quality
Ability to grasp new roles quickly, pivoting from eng to commercial to ops and back as needed
You will be able to confidently assess candidates without guidance and be able to manage the end to end hiring process for roles without support
You will be an SME on hiring, knowledgeable of market trends, have a network
You will be a strong team leader and be able to guide, leverage, and develop your reports
Strong ATS knowledge
Data-driven with the ability to review and leverage the data available across the talent tools at Automata
Strong communication skills, with high attention to detail
