To help us on our mission, we’re looking for a Production Quality Engineer to accelerate the product development process and support the business in achieving a fast turnaround of releases.
Why is this role important for Automata?
Working within the Quality Team you will plan, coordinate and manage the quality assurance and control activities associated with one or multiple product development projects to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
This is an exciting role for a Production Quality Engineer as you will work with the NPI team to support the launch of our new product and drive improvements in operational efficiency.
In this role, you will be:
Support the Quality Lead in developing and executing a robust quality roadmap
Interact with technical and operational functions to establish test requirements
Assist with customer's and supplier's concerns (NCRs/Returns/Warranties)
Product inspection and validation reports using metrology equipment (CMM, 3d Scanners)
Lead and/or support Process FMEAs and Control Plans
Developing Quality Tools (Process Maps, Control Plans, Checklists etc)
Interact with NPI team towards accurate and repeatable inspection methods
Ensuring traceability and data records are at the core of the product
Provide support on process performance (Cp/Cpk) regarding correction and improvement activities
Support MSA activities during factory acceptance testing
Preparation and/or review of APQP and PPAP submissions
Support quality system development and implementation throughout product life cycle
What it takes
Strong understanding of the Quality Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA & SPC)
Proven experience in developing new processes to assist with product validation
Aptitude for analysis, organisation and planning
Technical background in medical, mechanical and/or electrical engineering
Solid Works and ISO 9001 experience desirable
Metrology experience using a CMM, Hexagon and/or Romer arm, PC-DMIS software desirable
Hands on approach
Ability to work with cross-functional teams
Knowledge of GD&T and BS8888 Drawing standards
Great verbal and communication skills
