We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Go) whose mission is to empower our customers with their automation requirements by contributing high quality, highly reliable code, support other members of the team and be a strong, product-oriented voice.

The workflow team is a key contributor to the success of Automata, as they directly impact the scientists' ability to automate their experiments. This role is crucial for the development of complex tools that allow scientists to design automation into their experiments and empower their mission. 

In this role you will be responsible for:

• The delivery of our new results storage system (using S3) that lab scientists will use to store and retrieve results from their experiments.
• Identifying and proposing critical improvements to our platform, making our product offering as robust as possible.
• Engaging with the team, providing suggestions and ideas about the development of the platform based on your experience.
  

What it takes:

• Significant commercial experience writing Go.
• You've got experience working on a commercial digital product.
• You're an evangelist at heart, helping others to interface with your work and enabling collaboration between team members.
  
• An eagerness to challenge your way of thinking and problem-solving.
