Sales Executive - Outbound

This is not a regular sales job - if you’re the chest-thumping alpha bear who always hits targets and operates on presence rather than tact, this is not for you. As a Sales Executive at Automata, you’ll be a primary face/voice to our prospective customers, interacting with them over emails and calls - clarifying their pre-sales queries and helping them move through to purchase.

You are honest, you’re a great listener, you empathise with people, you care about what you’re doing to the world, and you believe in success, but, not at any cost. You’re a sharp thinker, meticulous, and resilient. You believe sales is a science, not an art. And you can tell us how.

We’re building a game-changing product, and what we’re doing here is going to redefine what it is to ‘work’. When you represent us, you’re representing and conveying that message.

Here’s what we’d like to see in you:

  • Empathy, being a good listener and a passion for solving peoples problems
  • Sales experience in a technology-oriented field where the product is technical and where an element of customer education is involved
  • Experience managing a sales CRM to generate reports and provide insights on sales activity
  • Comfort with pre-Product Market Fit, changing customer persona, pitch, and product value
  • Experience qualifying leads, segmenting inbound interest and prospecting for leads for outbound sales
  • Experience managing customer relationships and maintaining relationships in a B2B environment, preferably having worked on e-commerce products before
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, especially with the marketing team and with engineers
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in English with top quality spelling, punctuation and grammar, along with good computer literacy in Microsoft Office and Google Productivity Suite
