Automata is a fast growing robotics startup and we are looking for a full-time Head of Finance to own the company's Financial strategy, and contribute to our ambitious growth plans. 

You will lead us through strategic financial planning and risk assessment including periodic forecasts, reviews and annual budgeting. As our Head of Finance you will collaborate with our leadership team to advise on all financial matters from optimal stock levels to pricing strategy, to helping scale Automata effectively and responsibly.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Ensure Automata's vision and strategy are achieved by setting financial KPIs; ensure the business is managed against those KPIs
  • Produce comprehensive financial models to identify risks & opportunities and track growth plans
  • Forward budgets and re-forecasting activities throughout the year to support the business as it continues to scale
  • Produce monthly management accounts to assist in management decision making
  • Develop cash flow management solutions, such as volume purchase discounts or extended payment terms
  • Help the company to get the capital needed to operate and optimize the mix of capital between equity and debt
  • Drive business expansion in new markets and advice on ad hoc tax requirements and potential risks


What we're looking for in you:

  • Qualified accountant with significant post qualification experience in a strategically driven finance lead role
  • Good listener with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to understand how the business works and where the levers are
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to clearly formulate and implement business strategies
  • Gross margin expertise and stock experience. It would also be great if you had previous experience in a manufacturing company and exposure to business expansion in new markets
