The Head of Sales & Partnership at Automata will be instrumental in leading the transition away from ‘founder-led’ sales to one led by an experienced sales leader.

You will be accountable for building and leading the sales team in achieving x3 revenue growth in 2020 and scoping out 2021 targets. Using your experience as a winning sales leader in a high growth startup environment you’ll guide Automata through commercial maturity and multiple successful funding rounds. 

In more specific terms, here’s what we’d like to see in you:

  • You’re an excellent sales person who has built a sales team before
  • You’ve seen a company through £1-10m growth
  • You have the strategic and technical bandwidth to build our sales operation into a substantially sized team in just a few years
  • You’re well versed with market research, go-to-market strategies, working with Product Managers, and then eventually team building and delegation
  • You can make the strategic calls to identify not just which customers to go after, but also which markets and sectors, and are capable of devising and executing go-to-market plans
  • A coaching mindset - ability to turn mid-level performers into high-performers or manage underperformance out
  • Experience setting truly attainable sales targets whilst focusing on high growth
  • If you haven’t run any sales operation or built a team before, this is probably not for you - unless you’re a prodigy
