Automata is looking for a motivated, proactive, hands-on, quick-learning Presales Engineer!
As a Presales Engineer, you'll be utilising a unique blend of your multidisciplinary engineering knowledge and commercial acumen to provide solutions using the Eva robot, its accessories and services.

Our clients come from a broad range of sectors including manufacturing, research, product testing, automotive, engineering, and academia.
You will act as the point of contact for clients and provide them with pre-sale and after-sales advice. This role will sit within our commercial team, but you’ll have close connections to other departments including support, product, and engineering.

- Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education
- Designing proof of concepts in CAD
- Writing small snippets of code to demonstrate the Choreograph API/SDK
- Create small 3D printed parts such as gripper fingers and alignment jigs
- Identify opportunities for the commercial team to add value to customers through additional products and services

What we want to see in you:
- You should have a degree in an engineering discipline
- Ideally, you took a multidisciplinary degree that exposed you to a range of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering skills. Alternatively, you’ve had experience in these outside of the classroom and can demonstrate them to us confidently
- You are a confident user of a CAD platform (such as SolidWorks)
- You have experience using 3D printers
- Can talk to customers with confidence without assistance
- Some experience with programming (e.g. Python)
- You have some experience using programming languages to connect to APIs
- Basic knowledge of electronics (soldering, writing, digital/analogue IOs)
